青年武島直貴(山田孝之)沈默寡言，總是獨來獨往。美麗可愛的食堂女工由美子(沢尻エリカ)對直貴頗有好感，經常主動接近他，而他卻總是表現得十分漠然。直貴本來與哥哥剛志(玉山鉄二)相依爲命，爲了能讓直貴上大學，剛志鋌而走險入室盜竊，不料失手殺了人，由此被判處無期徒刑。從此之後，直貴就過著不斷換工作和搬家的生活，想成爲一名搞笑藝人的夢想也永遠地成了夢想。剛志經常會給直貴寫信，書信是獄中的剛志唯一的生存寄託。不料，直貴的秘密還是被工作的同僚們知道了。受到歧視的直貴不得不離開工廠，停止與哥哥通信，而由美子的鼓勵給了他改變現狀的力量......カテゴリー :Entertainment
