maybe because they are so many paradoxes within the idea of infinity itself, because it seems to cancel itself in so many instances there there is no such thing.

if there is a "bigger" infinity- the first one was finite and thereby not an infinity, so the claim counters itself.

From what they've described, it sounds that way.
That is to say, that if you picture infinity as Galileo did. A circle, and(using lines) divided it up infinitely- then expanded your view outward, you would begin to see that these infinitesimally small portions would begin to widen out and gaps could be discovered. These spaces then, were further divided up infinitely. Possessing a larger surface area, the 2nd circle would be a bigger infinity. Sounds like the rabbit whole to me. Space itself.

I'm no intellect but surely its pretty obvious that there is only one infinity. So adding infinities just gives you infinity. Adding two things that you don't know the value of just gives you another value that you can't define. Seems kind of pointless really.
